Old Sorehead Trade Days – Stanton
This two-day event happens twice a year. Many local folks love this event and come up to help out and enjoy the crafts, food vendors, antiques, live music, and of course, the slice of small town Texas culture. This is considered one of the largest and most interesting trade Days in the area.
Turner Mansion
The Turner Legacy Galleries are an exhibition space telling several stories, all centered around the Turner family. Three spaces were set aside in the Historic Turner Mansion and devoted to the story of Midland, the history of the house and the relationship between the family and the Kentucky Derby.
Historic Downtown Stanton
Stroll through downtown Stanton's narrow streets filled with decent local shops, diners, and some of the historic buildings of former Stanton and the beginnings of the settlement.
I-20 Wildlife Preserve – Midland
Located a short drive away from Stanton along I-20. This 100-acre urban wildlife will let you escape into nature with the manicured walking trails, bird watching, and educational exhibits.

There are hiking trails, great views, outdoor recreation, and just minutes away from Stanton. you can visit Big Spring SP on a day trip to have a picnic, take nature or landscape photos, or watch the sun set over the water.
George W. Bush Childhood Home- Midland
In visiting this preserved home of the former President, visitors are able to learn more about his early life and the history of West Texas.
Yucca Theatre & Midland Community Theater

Hangar 25 Air Museum
Perched within a beautifully restored WWII-era hangar at Big Spring’s McMahon-Wrinkle Airport, Hangar 25 Air Museum preserves the legacy of Webb Air Force Base and the Big Spring Army Air Force Bombardier School. The Lamella-arched wooden roof, soaring windows, and towering folding doors create a striking venue rich in atmosphere.
Childrens Museum
The Fredda Turner Durham Children’s Museum is an imaginative, interactive space tailored for children and families, located at 1705 W. Missouri Ave, Midland, TX 79701. It’s part of the Museum of the Southwest campus and features three distinct exhibition areas designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and learning.
